Rev. Karen E. Gale
Reverend Karen E. Gale has been called to serve the First Christian Congregational Church as our Intentional Interim Minister starting in July 2020.
Rev. Gale received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Virginia and then my MDiv and MA at Pacific School of Religion in Berkeley, CA. After seminary she traveled to Durban, South Africa to serve as a UCC missionary where she taught theology and facilitated workshops on many topics including domestic violence. Upon her return to the US, she moved to East Lansing, Michigan where she served as a settled Pastor at a large, college-town church for ten years. In 2011 she fulfilled a long held dream as her wife, then 2 year old son, and she traveled around the world for a year before moving to Plymouth, MA in 2012 to be closer to family.
Children & Youth Ministry CoordinatorEvan Colbert, LICSW, is an therapist with a private practice in Fall River, MA. After years working with families that had experienced generational trauma and witnessing first hand the impact of this unresolved trauma in people’s lives, he was inspired to complete his MSW at the University of Vermont, Burlington in 2010 with a focus on trauma and child and family systems. He continued his work with intensive in-home family crisis services both in Vermont and in Oregon before moving to Massachusetts in 2017 where he was independently licensed. Evan has 22 years of experience supporting families, foster parents, school teachers/ administrators, and residential staff in supporting children and families with a trauma informed perspective
